Quinta da Devesa Porto 10 Years White

Quinta da Devesa Port Wines are produced exclusively from lots vinified and aged in the estate. Since 1941 vintages considered of superior quality by the family winemakers, were kept and stored in wooden barrels in the winery cellars. These extraordinary quality wines are used today to produce Quinta da Devesa Port Wines. This 30-Year-Old Port is obtained from a selection of grape varieties recommended for the Douro region. The ageing process occurs naturally over the years, in oak vats at Quinta da Devesa cellars, thus resulting in a darkened colour.

Tasting Notes

Clear golden colour. Intense aroma of honeysuckle, orange blossom, and caramelized pineapple notes. The palate is intense, with poached pears and tropical notes on. Very nice, long finish with honey, caramel, and citrus. Robert Parker notes from Mark Squires: “The style here is acidity and complexity. The tawnies eschew fruitiness in favor of complexity, making even the 10 seem older than it is. Not everyone will prefer that style, but I loved it. It gave these some distinction. Often, they exceeded their categories.”
