Tasting Notes
Clear, dark golden colour, with a copper green hue. With superior complexity, reveals aromas of oak, fruit (peach and hermetic) and some bitter nuts, salted caramel and a touch of honey. Bitter nuts also in the taste, full bodied, powerful, elegant and enjoyable as it is sitting long time in the mouth. Robert Parker notes from Mark Squires: “The style here is acidity and complexity. The tawnies eschew fruitiness in favor of complexity, making even the 10 seem older than it is. Not everyone will prefer that style, but I loved it. It gave these some distinction. Often, they exceeded their categories.”
