Tasting Notes
Golden white color, slightly greenish hue. The intense aroma features notes of Madagascar vanilla bean, salted caramel, orange blossom, and the earthy notes of fresh-cut cardboard and cigar box. On the palate is full, fresh, with notes of dried fruits, caramel and spices. Long and mouthful finish.
Robert Parker notes from Mark Squires: “The style here is acidity and complexity. The tawnies eschew fruitiness in favor of complexity, making even the 10 seem older than it is. Not everyone will prefer that style, but I loved it. It gave these some distinction. Often, they exceeded their categories.”
